LifterLMS work we build and fix
Most LifterLMS projects we take on start with one of these. Each item maps to a real part of the plugin or its add-ons, so you can point at exactly what you need.
Access plans and checkout
We design access plans for free, one-time, recurring and trial pricing, then wire them to the Stripe, PayPal or Authorize.Net extensions. If you already run a store, we connect the WooCommerce Extension so courses sit beside your other products.
Membership structure
We map your tiers to LifterLMS memberships, set auto-enrollment into the right courses and restrict pages, posts and downloads by membership. When a site also depends on MemberPress rules, we make the two agree on who has access.
Engagements that fire correctly
Certificates, achievements and emails only help if they arrive at the right moment. We configure triggers such as 'Student passes a quiz' or 'Student completes a course track', add delays, and design certificate templates learners want to share.
Quizzes, assignments and video rules
We build question banks with Advanced Quizzes, set up essay and upload tasks with the Assignments add-on, and use Advanced Videos to require full playback before a lesson counts as complete.
Custom add-ons and code
When no add-on fits, we write a small plugin against LifterLMS action and filter hooks, the REST API and webhooks. Template changes go into a lifterlms folder in your child theme, so plugin updates leave them alone.
Themes and course page design
We work with Sky Pilot, LaunchPad, Elementor, Divi, Beaver Builder and the block editor to redesign course, lesson and student dashboard pages. Every layout is checked on phones and tablets before launch.
Migration into LifterLMS
We move courses, lessons, quizzes, students and enrollment records from Teachable, Thinkific, Moodle or LearnDash into LifterLMS sections and lessons. Redirects from old URLs are part of the job, so search traffic follows the content.
Speed, security and upkeep
Slow course pages usually trace back to a heavy page builder, uncached queries or bloated user meta. We profile the site, clean the database, add object caching, harden logins and keep LifterLMS and its add-ons updated on a monthly plan.

Why course creators pick us for LifterLMS
We've built an LMS ourselves
LMS Advisor started as a consultancy that built, fixed and migrated learning platforms, then shipped its own product. We know where enrollment logic breaks because we have written it.
Scope before spend
You get a free consultation and a written quote before any work begins. No meter runs while we get to know your site.
Staging first
Every change is built and tested on a staging copy. Live orders and learner progress are never our test bed.
Your code, your IP
Custom add-ons, templates and scripts are handed over with full source ownership. Keep working with us or take the code anywhere.
Confidential by default
We sign an NDA before you share course material, sales numbers or learner records.
Guarantees in writing
Satisfaction and on-time delivery are guaranteed, and under our zero billing guarantee you don't pay for work that misses the agreed brief.
From first call to launch

Your project manager runs the work in milestones, with a demo link at each one.
Test real purchases
We run test orders through each access plan, check every engagement and confirm enrollments land in the right courses.
Launch and support
We deploy, watch the first live enrollments, then hand over or continue on a maintenance plan.
Work we are asked to do
Coach moving off Teachable
A coaching business wants its courses on its own WordPress site with full control over pricing and data. We rebuild the courses in LifterLMS, recreate pricing as access plans and redirect the old sales pages.
Association issuing CE credits
A professional body needs to award and track continuing education hours. We set up the Continuing Education add-on, certificate engagements and PDF certificates members can download.
Training provider selling seats
A provider sells to HR departments rather than individuals. With the Groups add-on, a group leader buys seats, invites staff and follows their progress.
Membership with weekly drip
A creator runs a monthly membership that releases a new module each week. We configure drip schedules, membership auto-enrollment and Kit or Mailchimp tags that follow each member's status.
Tools and integrations
What a LifterLMS project with us looks like
LifterLMS gives you a lot out of the box: a drag-and-drop course builder, access plans, memberships, quizzes and an engagement system for certificates, achievements and emails. The work is in making those parts fit your business. A coach selling one program needs different access plans than an association issuing credits to thousands of members, and the defaults rarely match either.
We start by looking at how you sell and how learners move through your content. Then we set up or fix the pieces that decide whether someone pays, gets enrolled and finishes.
Where LifterLMS sites usually go wrong
After years of repairing other people's builds, we see the same problems again and again:
- Access plans that don't match the sales page, so buyers see one price and pay another.
- Memberships that auto-enroll members into the wrong courses after a product change.
- Certificates tied to 'Student completes a lesson' when they should follow 'Student passes a quiz'.
- Template files edited inside the plugin, so the next update erases the changes.
- Page caching that shows one learner's progress bar to another.
- Recurring payments that stop renewing after a gateway change.
Each of these is fixable, and most can be fixed without rebuilding the site.
How we extend LifterLMS without breaking updates
LifterLMS is built to be extended. We use its hooks and filters for logic, copy templates into a lifterlms folder in a child theme for layout changes, and call the REST API or register webhooks when another system needs to hear about an enrollment or an order. Custom features ship as their own small plugin, documented and handed to you with the source. When LifterLMS releases a major version, such as the 10.0 update that added Focus Mode and the 'Any' engagement trigger, your customizations keep working because they never touched core files.
Add-ons we configure most often
Advanced Quizzes, Assignments, Groups, Course Cohorts, Custom Fields, Social Learning, Private Areas, Events, Continuing Education, Advanced Coupons and Cart Abandonment Recovery. We tell you which ones you actually need before you buy them, and when a few lines of custom code would do the job for less.
Payments, memberships and marketing
Revenue problems are the most urgent ones we see. We set up Stripe, PayPal and Authorize.Net for one-time and recurring payments, or connect WooCommerce when courses sell alongside physical products. For gateways LifterLMS doesn't cover directly, such as Razorpay, we route checkout through WooCommerce. On the marketing side we connect Kit, Mailchimp, ActiveCampaign or HubSpot so tags and lists follow each learner's status without manual exports.
When LifterLMS stops being the right tool
Some organizations outgrow a WordPress LMS because they need proctored exams, SSO with user provisioning or audit evidence for compliance training. In that case we'll say so, and our own platform, LMS Advisor, can import LifterLMS courses. For most course businesses, though, a well-built LifterLMS site is the right answer, and that is what we'll help you build.
