Blended programs fall apart in the gaps between tools. The course is in the LMS, the meeting link is in a calendar invite someone forwarded, the recording is in a cloud folder, and attendance is a photo of a sign-in sheet.
LMS Advisor treats a live session as a lesson. Pick Zoom Lesson, Google Meet Lesson or Live Stream, set the start time and duration, and the platform can create the meeting for you. Learners see a countdown, then a Join button, then the recording once you add it. Attendance sessions let instructors mark each learner present, late, absent or excused, or put a QR code on screen for the room to scan.

Zoom meetings created for you

Connect a Google service account and each Meet lesson gets its own Meet link, created from the session’s start time and duration.

Learners see a countdown before the start, a Join button from the start until 30 minutes after the end, and the recording once you add its link.

How live lessons, webinars and attendance fit together
Three kinds of live lesson
Zoom Lesson and Google Meet Lesson show learners a join card. Live Stream embeds a YouTube or Vimeo live stream, or other embed code, straight into the lesson player, which suits broadcasts where people watch rather than talk. All three take a start time, a duration and an optional recording link. Times use your site timezone, shown beside the field.
Letting the platform create the meeting
Connect Zoom once with the account ID, client ID and secret of a Server-to-Server OAuth app. From then on a Zoom lesson has an “Auto-create Zoom meeting on save” switch. The meeting is scheduled in your timezone with a random passcode, the waiting room on and join-before-host off, and the join link and passcode are filled in for you. Google Meet works the same way once you add a Google service-account JSON: the platform creates a calendar event with a Meet conference and uses its link. Prefer to manage meetings yourself? Leave the switch off and paste a link.
What the learner sees
Before the session, the lesson shows the date, time and timezone, a live countdown and an Add to Calendar button that opens a prefilled Google Calendar event. At the start time the Join button appears, and it stays for 30 minutes after the scheduled end in case you overrun. Paste the recording link afterwards and the join card is replaced by the recording: YouTube and Vimeo play embedded, MP4 and WebM play in the page, and other links open in a new tab.
Webinars outside the lesson list
The Webinars screen schedules a Zoom or Meet session against a course without adding a lesson. Enrolled learners are notified when it is created. Hosts start it from the same screen, and cancelling a Zoom webinar deletes the meeting in Zoom too. Webinars already scheduled when someone enrolls go into that learner’s in-app calendar beside course deadlines.
Attendance
Attendance is recorded per session, never guessed from who clicked Join. Create a session for a course with a date, times and a type (class, webinar, lab, exam or other), and every enrolled learner is listed. Mark each one present, late, absent or excused, with a note if needed. For rooms and hybrid groups, generate a QR code: learners scan it, sign in and are marked present with the check-in time. The report filters by course, learner and date range and exports to CSV.
Google Classroom
Teachers connect their Google account and link one of their active classes to an LMS course. A roster sync creates accounts for new students, within your plan’s user limit, and enrolls everyone.

Running a live session from start to finish
Connect a meeting provider
Add Zoom Server-to-Server OAuth credentials or a Google service account in Settings. Skip it if you would rather paste links.
Add the live lesson
Choose Zoom Lesson, Google Meet Lesson or Live Stream, set the start time and duration, and switch on auto-create.
Open attendance
Create an attendance session for the class, then mark learners as they arrive or put the QR code on screen.
Teach the session
Learners join from the lesson itself, and the Join button stays available for 30 minutes after the scheduled end.
Post the recording
Paste the recording link into the lesson so anyone who missed it can watch in the same place.
