One LMS, many sites, each with its own brand
Give every client, brand or business unit a learning site that looks and feels like its own. Its address, logo, colors, sign-in page and emails are its own, and its people and content stay inside it.
At a glance
- Sub-domains and custom domains
- Full white-label branding
- Email in the tenant’s name
- Plans with seats, storage and features
- Strict data isolation
Training providers, franchise groups and companies with several brands often end up running one LMS per customer or per division. Every copy needs its own updates, its own backups and its own security review, and a fix made in one never reaches the others. The alternative, one shared site for everyone, means clients see each other in the course list and nobody gets their own branding.
Multi-tenancy in LMS Advisor gives you the middle path. One install serves many tenants. Each tenant is a complete white-label site with its own address, branding, administrator, users and content, while you manage, update and secure the whole platform from a single Super Admin console.
Why one LMS per client stops scaling
A separate install for every customer
Each copy needs updating, patching and backing up on its own, and the work grows with every new client you sign.
Branding that stops at the logo
Clients want their own address, colors, sign-in page and emails. A logo swap on a shared site does not feel like their platform.
Data that has to stay apart
One customer must never see another customer’s learners, courses, results or files, not in a list, a report or a guessed link.
Server work for every new site
Domains, server configuration and certificates usually mean a ticket to IT and a wait before a new client can sign in.
Separate sites, one platform
Admin, Tenants is where the Super Admin creates and runs every tenant. A tenant gets a sub-domain or the customer’s own domain, its own administrator, branding and email identity, a plan with seat and storage limits and a set of features. LMS Advisor prepares the site, issues its certificate, checks that it answers and switches it on.
Sub-domains and custom domains
Every tenant gets an address under your domain, and can add its own domain or extra aliases. Certificates are issued automatically.
Full white-label branding
Logo, favicon, site name, colors, surfaces and font for light and dark mode, a designed sign-in page and custom CSS, set per tenant.
Email in the tenant’s name
Messages carry the tenant’s sender name, Reply-To, logo and colors, link to the tenant’s own address and, when you allow it, go out through the tenant’s own mail server.
Plans with seats, storage and features
Set a seat limit and storage allowance per tenant and switch features on or off. A feature that is off disappears from the tenant’s menus.
Strict data isolation
Users, courses, lessons, exams, media, learning paths and reports belong to their tenant, and every request is checked against that ownership.
Course sharing on your terms
Share all of your platform courses with a tenant, a chosen set, or none. Shared courses are read-only for the tenant, and its own courses stay its own.
How tenants are created, branded and kept apart
Creating a tenant
The New Tenant form asks for a name and short address, an optional custom domain and a plan. The plan fills in the seat limit, storage allowance and feature switches, and every value can be changed. The tenant’s administrator is created in the same step, with a password you set or one generated and sent to them, which they change at first sign-in. Saving starts provisioning straight away and opens the tenant’s page.
Provisioning with automatic certificates
Each address a tenant uses goes through the same checks: the DNS record, the web server configuration, the certificate and a health check on the live address. LMS Advisor works with Apache and nginx and detects which one your server runs. A small server agent, installed once, writes the site configuration and requests the certificate, and the tenant page shows the state of every address as it moves from pending through provisioning to active. If something needs attention, such as a DNS record still to be added, the page names the exact record and the step that is waiting.
A site that feels like its own
The tenant’s administrator sets the logo, square logo, favicon, site name and tagline under Settings, designs the sign-in page, and picks colors, surfaces and font for light and dark mode under Appearance. Site Branding adds the sender name, Reply-To address and custom CSS. All of it applies to that tenant’s site only, so the platform and every other tenant keep theirs. Self-registration on a tenant’s address creates an account inside that tenant.
What the tenant administrator runs
Inside their own site, tenant administrators manage their courses, lessons, quizzes and exams, Course Authoring modules, media, learning paths, users, enrollments and reports, along with the settings their plan allows. Platform-wide areas such as tenant management, security settings, database tools and system health stay with the Super Admin, and settings a tenant may not own are refused on the server as well as hidden in the menu.
How data stays separate
Every tenant’s records carry its ownership, and each list, picker, search result, report and single record is checked against the signed-in person’s tenant on the server. Changing an ID in a link or an API request does not reach another tenant’s data. Accounts sign in only on their own tenant’s address, files and SCORM packages are served only to people allowed to reach the record they belong to, and public exam links and embedded modules answer only on their author’s site. We tested this with every role on separate tenant sites: administrator, manager, branch manager, course manager, instructor, learner and organization administrators and managers, each with their own records and then with another tenant’s.
Control for the Super Admin
The tenant page shows status, addresses, plan usage and a provisioning log. From there the Super Admin can edit limits and features, add addresses, suspend and resume a tenant, export its settings, and delete it with the tenant’s name, their password and a two-factor code. A deleted tenant can be restored until it is removed permanently. Enter tenant opens the tenant’s site already signed in, through a signed, single-use sign-in that keeps the Super Admin’s two-factor check, and every action is written to the audit log.

From a new client to a live site
Create the tenant
Enter the name, address and plan, and create the tenant’s administrator in the same form.
Configure the plan
Adjust seats, storage and features, choose which platform courses to share, and set the quick colors.
Provision the site
LMS Advisor checks DNS, prepares the server configuration, issues the certificate and tests the live address.
Activate
Once the address answers its health check, the tenant goes live and its administrator can sign in.
Hand over
The tenant administrator adds branding, users and courses, while you watch usage from the Tenants console.
Who runs a multi-tenant LMS
Training providers with corporate clients
A provider gives each client company its own branded academy on the client’s domain, shares a set of its catalogue courses and lets the client add its own.
Groups with several brands
A holding company runs one learning site per brand, each with its own look and staff, while central L&D maintains the platform once.
Franchise and dealer networks
Every franchisee or dealer gets its own site and administrator, with the head office’s compliance courses shared into all of them.
Associations and education partners
Chapters or partner institutions run their own branded sites and learners, with seat and storage plans set to match each agreement.
