A customer academy that answers the ticket before it is filed
Customers click “Learn” in your product and land on the right lesson, already signed in. Walkthroughs, a named AI Tutor and a help center cover the everyday questions.
At a glance
- Sign-in from your product
- Open-enrollment catalog
- Walkthroughs with built-in questions
- An AI Tutor with your name on it
- A public help center
Customer education leads tend to arrive at the same moment. Support is answering the same “how do I set this up” questions every week, customer success is repeating the same kickoff call for every new account, and the docs explain what each button does without showing how to finish a real task.
LMS Advisor gives you an academy built around that gap. Customers sign in from your product with a one-time token, enroll themselves in open courses, and learn from short recorded walkthroughs with questions built into the video. If you want to charge for advanced or certification courses, you sell them through your WooCommerce store. LMS Advisor has no checkout of its own, and we would rather tell you that now.
Why customers stall after the kickoff call
The same ten tickets every week
Import formats, permission settings, the report everyone gets wrong. Support answers each one, and the answer disappears into a closed ticket.
Kickoff calls that do not scale
Customer success walks every new account through the same hour of setup. The admin who missed the call asks again a month later.
Docs that explain but do not teach
Reference articles cover every field. They rarely take a new admin from an empty account to a working setup in the right order.
One more password
If the academy needs its own sign-up, most customers never get past the registration form. Training has to start where they already are.
What your customer academy includes
Your product signs customers into the academy with a single-use token, an open catalog lets them enroll themselves, and walkthrough videos, a named AI Tutor and a public help center cover the questions that used to become tickets.
Sign-in from your product
Your backend requests a single-use, short-lived token through the REST API and sends the customer to a specific course or lesson, already logged in.
Open-enrollment catalog
Mark a course as open and signed-in customers enroll with one click. Public self-registration with email verification covers everyone else.
Walkthroughs with built-in questions
Record a screen walkthrough in Recording Studio, then add chapters and timestamped questions so viewers show they followed the steps.
An AI Tutor with your name on it
Set the tutor’s display name and avatar. It answers questions using the course the customer is in, at any hour.
A public help center
Knowledge base articles grouped by category, searchable, readable without logging in, with the most viewed articles surfaced first.
Paid courses through WooCommerce
The WooCommerce plugin syncs courses, learning paths and exams to your store as products. A purchase grants access in the academy.
Launching a customer academy in the first quarter
Start with the tickets, not a table of contents
Pull the last quarter of support tickets and group them by theme. The top themes become your first courses, each one short and focused on finishing a task: connecting an integration, setting permissions, building the report people keep asking about. Link each help center article to the lesson that shows the full task, so support can reply with a link that actually teaches.
Getting customers in without another password
When a customer clicks “Learn” in your product, your server calls the REST API to create the user if needed and request a sign-in token. The customer is redirected with that token and lands on whichever page you chose, logged in. Tokens are single-use and expire quickly, and the normal login checks, including two-factor authentication, still apply. Customers who find the academy on their own can register with email verification or sign in with Google.
Structuring the catalog
Most academies settle on three layers. A free “getting started” course open to everyone. Role-based learning paths, such as one for account admins and one for everyday users. Advanced or certification content, either invite-only or sold. Set your colors, fonts and logo in the theme settings and write a welcome page so the academy feels like part of your product.
For B2B accounts, you can create an organization per customer with a seat limit, and give the customer’s own admin a manager view to add colleagues and download progress reports.
What the AI Tutor is good for
The tutor answers in the context of the lesson a customer is viewing, so “what does this setting do” gets an answer at 11pm without a ticket. It is not a replacement for support on account-specific problems. You choose Anthropic or OpenAI as the provider, the AI Usage log shows every call and its cost, and you can switch it off.
Charging for training
If some courses are paid, install the WooCommerce plugin on your store. It syncs courses, paths and exams as products, and buying one grants access. Pricing, taxes and coupons are handled by WooCommerce, not by LMS Advisor. For measuring impact, course analytics show completion and progress, and webhooks can send completion and certificate events to your CRM so account teams know who has been trained.
From first login to confident admin
Pick the first five tasks
Use support ticket themes to choose the tasks your first courses teach, and record a walkthrough for each one.
Brand the academy
Set theme colors, fonts and logo, write the welcome page and name the AI Tutor.
Connect your product
Add a “Learn” link that uses token sign-in, pointing customers to the lesson that matches the screen they are on.
Open the catalog
Mark the starter courses as open, publish help center articles, and connect WooCommerce if some courses are paid.
Certify your power users
Add an exam at the end of the admin path and issue a certificate with a public verification link.
Customer education programs we support
New account onboarding
Replace the repeated kickoff call with a self-paced admin path, and keep the live call for the questions that are specific to that customer.
Feature launch training
Publish a short walkthrough when a feature ships, and send customers straight to it from the in-product announcement.
Admin certification
Customers’ system owners complete an advanced path and a proctored exam, then share a certificate link their manager can verify.
Paid advanced courses
Sell deep-dive or certification courses through your WooCommerce store while the introductory material stays free.
